How the Futureative merch store works
Our merch is made-to-order through a print-on-demand service. Here's what that means for your purchase.
Print-on-demand
We don't hold stock in a warehouse. When you place an order, the item is produced for you and then shipped. This keeps the range flexible and avoids overproduction, but it does mean orders take a bit longer to arrive than off-the-shelf retail.
What this means in practice
- Production typically adds a few business days before your order ships
- Total delivery time is production time plus shipping time
- Each piece is made to order, so we can't expedite production
- Once an order is in production, it can't be changed or cancelled

The store lives at shop.futureative.com and is also linked from futureative.com.
Why we run it this way
The store is a small but meaningful part of how Futureative works. It exists to support the brand and the work, not as a primary revenue stream. Print-on-demand keeps it simple, low-waste, and easy to evolve as the community grows.
